CNC metal machining
Precision CNC machining of metal parts with micrometre accuracy
CNC (Computer Numerical Control) metal machining is a manufacturing process in which computer-controlled machines remove material from a solid block or bar to produce parts with precisely defined dimensions and outstanding quality.
At IPNG we use a modern 5-axis CNC milling machine, which enables the machining of complex geometries in a single setup, greater precision and shorter production times compared to conventional methods. By machining steel, aluminium, brass, copper and other metals we achieve tolerances down to ±0.005 mm, ensuring exceptional reliability and production repeatability.
CNC milling of metal parts

CNC milling

5-axis milling of complex geometries from a solid block of metal. Production of slots, pockets, contours and 3D surfaces with tolerances down to ±0.005 mm.

Tolerances down to ±0.005 mm

Our equipment enables micrometre accuracy that meets the requirements of the automotive, aerospace and medical industries.

Drilling and thread tapping

Precision drilling of holes and machine tapping of threads (metric, Whitworth, NPT) in a single setup, with no need for additional operations.

Series and one-off production

From a single prototype to a series of a thousand pieces — CNC machining guarantees identical quality for every part, regardless of quantity.

Surface finishing

Grinding, polishing, anodising, chrome plating and sandblasting — we offer complete finishing for both functional and aesthetic requirements.

What is 5-axis CNC milling and how does it work?

CNC (Computer Numerical Control) milling is a subtractive manufacturing process in which a computer-controlled machine removes material from a solid block of metal using rotary cutting tools. Unlike conventional 3-axis milling, a 5-axis milling machine allows the tool to move along all five axes simultaneously — enabling the machining of complex geometries, deep pockets and curved surfaces without repositioning the workpiece multiple times.

The entire process is controlled by a computer program (G-code) generated from a CAD/CAM model, which ensures repeatable precision and eliminates human error. A single CNC program can produce thousands of identical parts with no variation in quality.

Materials we machine

Steels and alloys

  • Structural steel (S235, S355)
  • Stainless steel / Inox (AISI 304, 316)
  • Tool steel (for moulds and tools)
  • Alloyed steels for high temperatures

Non-ferrous metals

  • Aluminium and Al alloys (6061, 7075, 5083)
  • Copper and bronzes
  • Brass (CuZn alloys)
  • Titanium (for medical and aerospace applications)

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum order quantity?

There is no minimum quantity. We work from a single piece (prototype) to series of several thousand parts. The price per piece decreases with larger quantities.

What tolerances can you achieve?

We standardly work to tolerances of ±0.05 mm. For more demanding projects we achieve ±0.005 mm. Tolerances depend on the material, geometry and dimensions of the part.

How long does CNC part production take?

Simple parts can be ready in 1–2 working days. More complex projects or larger series usually require 3–7 working days. For urgent needs we offer express production.

What file format do I need to supply?

Ideally, provide a 3D model in STEP (.stp), IGES (.igs) or Parasolid (.x_t) format. We also accept 2D technical drawings in DXF or PDF format. If you do not have a finished model, we can create one based on your sketch.
